I think most online teams will be something like: Partner Pikachu/eevee, 3 legendary birds, Mewtwo and then either Mew/Charizard/Dragonite

You have always been able to, in game doesn’t really have tier restrictions

I guess it's possible I don't remember right, but I'm sure that with online play (person isn't next to you) it made you take legends out

I know some games have done almost tiers (legends allowed, no legends and not fully evolved) but I never liked those tiers, they are bad, if you organised online stuff though you should have proper tiers, but I’m also going off SuMo where every online team was Ultra Necrozmas and Primal Groudons and Mega Mewtwos

That’s fair, I was into it but not too deep, mostly just scratching the surface of it, XY was the last gen that I was really into it

I have a feeling partners are going to be banned in lower play anyway, they will end up as OU at least

they did give them really unfair moves

That would be cool, but I have a feeling that it’s a quick thrown together game using assets they already had, used it to test some new things while they bide time to make a proper console Pokémon game

Honestly the main pokemon games feel like a chore to complete now :< like I could complete them and get new varied competetive pokes and such but the amount of time it would take up I'd be doing nothing else

I never minded, I liked finishing the dex but it never felt mandatory, also I love the massive variety a complete dex gives you, just a lot more options to do a lot more things with.
