Feminists say the same thing regarding feminism though... 'Not all feminists are like that' etc
In the end its not the people that we need to back, its the issues
but they never call out feminists who ARE "like that". and seem to support them everywhere they are
Yes, they do, but I think you're missing the point... You were saying we need an organised leadership. I dint think that matters and we just support the issues, and we do pay attention and promote/support people who fight for our issues, Jordan Peterson, Karen etc. I think things are fine like that. We don't need a 'central office/authority'. Having places to gather and discuss is awesome but that's not the same thing
eventually a lack of organization and coordination will limit our effectiveness, especially when anti MRAs start false flagging
True. We aren't at the 'hire a PR guy' stage just yet, but there is a middle ground
I don't think things being like that causes lack of organisation, we can decide which issues to protest and perform activism together without being sheep. I think a place like this to gather and discuss is important like I said, but not to command everyone or have it so we are in a hierarchy of importance
There is also the idea that a leadership could be taken out. Leaders get targets painted on them, and the opposition has proven they are willing to play VERY dirty.
Alright, you win. Lol
We do need a proper banner, but we should have that soon.
@Men Are Human Alright, it took me almost a minute to figure out the only reason I was pinged was a simple "hi everyone" plug. If you're going to do that, could you at least put it in a separate channel so I could actually find an ignore it as opposed to trying to figure out who is talking specifically to me? It is super duper obnoxious.
@asparkofpyrokravte Sorry! I didn't realise that you'd have trouble with that. I'll stop doing it. Or maybe restrict it to this one channel? What do people think? It seems to be an effective way to get the conversation rolling, but I don't want to annoy anyone
It doesn't make much of a difference to me because the first message I haven't seen on any channel will buzz me anyway, so what's one more. I would imagine it could annoy quite a few other people though
Okay that's enough
What a massacre, haha.
Alright.
For everyone not in on the private chat: we got rid of that argument because it is not good for the casual chat to be clogged up with super serious things that belong in the <#515246258571575297> channel or private messages. I'm also not fond of the level of antagonism that was going on, so I've stepped in to make peace. For the record: the <#512584678314606613> channel is for talking about fluffy bunnies, computer games, and what we are all up to personally.
In any case, please try to keep things friendly in this channel. Here is a bunny. http://www.todayifoundout.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/baby-bunny.jpg
Look at that adorable little bastard.

I do think we should think about how to āadvertiseā and spread. I think the number of people who silently think MRA thoughts everyday might be 10 times higher than even what weād guess. Thereās no way people donāt āfeelā it
Coordinated hashtags, posts, etc.
I've come up with a few possible hashtags - mainly phrases that I've used in articles
#TheEvilGender strikes again! *roll eyes*
Unfortunately, that one's easy to subvert
A new Trope. the Evil Gender Strikes Back. The return of the Feminists
Revenge of the patriarchy
Something I think we need to do more is break anti-male terms and language.
Make them not want to call us all toxic males
I think DV is a good place to start. Any guy in an abusive relationship will read it and agree. Something like ādomestic abuse against men counts, toā
Difficult to make that a badge of honour though
I see on reddit all the time comments being upvoted that are pro-MRA even without realizing
I have a comment now on Askreddit Iām curious to track and see how it goes
Itās a good test to comment in a main sub and see the reactions
Yeah, I've seen one or two. I think we need to link them to our movement somehow because it will link people to the wider issues
Check my last comment, itās doing well, pleased to see
Posting pro MRA things in none MRA subs is a good thing, it's how people hear about the issues and can become more interested in them. Even if they get downvoted, it can sometimes help people think
And hopefully show people they arenāt alone in their thoughts
People will see a logical and reasonable statement that goes along with their own observations
All and all I think we have an excellent subreddit. I like how we stay non political to
