Most of the people here are from men's rights, we've been stickied there a few times ^^
I'm new to this community, recently found it
You mean the mensrights sub?
Is it ok if I ask what got you interested in the issues we face?
that too, yeds
to put it simply, i'm a teenager. i was a full-on communist before. used to agree with feminists and such. also used to browse r/inceltears sometimes. Found out about this sub called r/MGTOW. lurked a bit through and it kind of opened a new window to me. I found statistics that I couldn't before imagine, and heard other mens' stories where they had their lives unfairly ruined through things like false accusations. This definetly changed my viewpoint on the situation. Found r/mensrights, and after a few days lurking that I found this place.
I will admit that I am also scared for myself as these are all things that could happen to me, my friends, or anyone
I didn't realise how much men were actually discriminated until this week, and it definetly changed my beliefs.
Hey!
Don't worry, we need to create awareness and people will see through the lies
I think a lot of people find out good things about men's rights through feminism and stuff surprisingly. If you just take what people say about us at face value, then they won't, but If they actually look at the things we talk about it paints a totally different picture to what they'd like to portray us as
well said
i think a lot of people, especially teenagers, will eventually find out about men's rights through things like this
from my experience, some of these were things I thought of but told myself were fake cause the feminists said it can't be right
Some lies can be pervasive
They are very good at manipulation
the way i see it, a big thing that keeps people from these ideas is the negativity surrounding it
everyone remotely related to men's rights is automatically named an "incel"
Almost always Their goto response is 'feminism is for men too' even when we give multiple ways feminism have harmed men.
Well welcome @S8N . Yes, there are many like you. The situation is worse than most would expect
Yea, incel is their new go to personal attack to dismiss someone who says anything that supports men's issues
Thank you for the welcome
yeah seriously, they managed to demonize the word "incel" completely
Then they'll blame men for causing their own problems.
Toxic masculinity and patriarchy are their boogeymen
today in a thread i've seen someone be called an incel because they said that equality of opportunity is what we should go for and feminism doesn't want that
They set up certain scripted responses, like “whataboutism” or “no,u” or “mansplaining”
The comments in that thread give me a bit of hope
They phrase things in s particular way do that they can guess the responses and have a calculated reply
@S8N exactly, I had posted the same thread here today with exactly the same comment you made
There's hope
@blueorange22 now they just say "haha found the incel" whenever they've been proven wrong
It’s scripted, they learn lines from elsewhere
Personally that scientific study gave me more hope, it got a lot of attention. The one that showed men face more systematic discrimination than women in the western world
It’s not “just happening”, they aren’t just “coming up” with that
It’s organized
They are afraid that people will break their 'conditioning'
