I don’t care dude. You are trolling now.
If you say sir
Toxic masculinity is the opposite of Toxic femininity. They are the yin and yang, the sun and the moon. You can't have one without having the other.
Close, @SirPoopsie, but not quite. Rather, they both stem from the same underlying issue
You mean it's not really toxcis <gendered word>?!?!? It's just... ASSHOLE PERSON?
Entrenched gender role stereotypes
@SirPoopsie not at all
that is not what it means at all
Jesus christ I hate this asshole
Alternatively toxicity doesn't really need to be gendered because both sexes are equally capable of being a jerk
Yep
It is the role stereotypes that are toxic, not the genders
Women are just as much dicks as men are cunts
And that is irrelevant to a discussion on gender role stereotypes
Roles aren't toxic... roles got us to where we are today, a world where you can sit in luxury and whine about mother nature and the evolution of the human race.
Since we are operating on different understandings of a term, I am afraid this conversation cannot continue
Or in his case, bring Men’s Lib style whining to a completely different forum.
Great! Bye.
Before someone was to say toxic masculinity exists I would ask them to define masculinity and then point out what aspects of masculinity are inherently toxic
Men have, for years, done all they can to make womens lives easier. We did so to such a degree that women now blame men for everything that's wrong because there's no hardships left to teach them how cruel life is.
Again, we are discussing toxic masculinity. Things that hurt men.
Women are not relevant to the discussion in this instance
Let's find an example of toxic masculinity. How about something simple: Men cannot show emotions
that is not healthy for men, right? It causes psychological issues
I've never had that pushed on me by other men, only women.
And?
You're telling me women teach men toxic behaviours, that aren't really "masculine"?
You define masculinity then
And I can work around that
Strength, whether it be physical or mental or emotional. Uprighteousness, whether that needs defiance to the law or in accordance with the law, a good moral compass. Steadfast, to try to do the things that need done regardless of adversity, whether they accomplish the goal or not, to their best effort. To give three.
Those are examples
Could you perhaps give me an all encompassing definition of what constitutes masculinity
See, for me that definition would be:
"Societal expectations of how people of the male sex should behave"
You mean you want me to boil it down to specific words that are used for brevity so you can take each word out of context and contort them individually rather than use them as a whole in context?
No
This is why we don’t entertain such a person.
'Societal'? That's never been the definition unless you're a wackjob from a Gender Studies class.
If 'Societal' was in the definition you wouldn't have evil people described as masculine the same as evil people (some Queens we've had, eh?) are described as feminine.
wouldn't*
@GG Allin I find it entertaining to entertain such people... take them to the edge but don't give them the diving board they want.
