I used to be very faithful, but too many things go wrong
Atheism is degenerate and I feel Christians should be able to decide how they live to a larger degree. But we used to have a state church and the church leaders the last 80 years have pretty much always been atheists.
state churches are a sham
But as I always say, there is no secular reason why any moral claims are true. So atheism implies that no morality exist. For example if someone wants to kill and eat children and accepts jail or believes he can avoid it then he has no reason why he ought not do it. Unless you mix in Islam or Christianity. From a purely non-religious perspective there is no reason not to do it. They can only say it is morally wrong to kill and eat children if they don't want to do it.
they were mostly a tool of power to control religion, fitting the need of rulers. that is why the catholic church used to oppose emperors in the middle ages
religions were a moral guide for all peoples in all ages
us westeners have done a mistake
State churches are degenerate and yes it was to control the religion. Nobody can control Islam though it is a disorganised religion. Look at all the degenerate and evil Muslim leaders trying to control it. They have no chance so they just have to suppress Muslims and Muslim practices.
atheists believe in UN, human rights and similar but they mostly conflict with what they mean
They say they believe that, but those values are based largely on Christian values. There is no secular reason why any of those rights are real.
For example if an atheist leader wants to break human rights (like Sam Harris for example who thinks torture is a good thing to do) then what reason do they have not to do it?
I see most atheists focus on myths or scandals, they don't read theology
But then again, God guides who he wants to guide. There are many very smart and honest atheists. Like the philosopher J. L. Mackie (one of my main influences in moral philosophy). He wrote a great book called "The miracle of theism: arguments for and against the existence of God" which is probably the most comprehensive book on the subject. And even when he found arguments for the existence of God that he seems to think is both sound and seemingly valid that still doesn't make him believe in God. He just assumes that someone will find a good counter argument in the future. Ever since then I have not cared about arguing for the existence of God. Even if you convince someone that you have a good argument that doesn't make them believe in God. The belief that God doesn't exist is not something they have come up with by rational reasoning and therefore rational reasoning can not lead them out of it. They are completely blocked of from the almighty majesty of the universe, creator of the universe. Until they change so that they please the Lord.
@Deleted User Devon completely gave up racism and anti-Semetism (although I think he still somewhat had an 'it's the jews' though not nearly as pronounced as before), but he still liked elements of fascism like authoritarianism and excessive militarization. I would've only gave it time before he gave those up as well.
Devon is completely Salafi now
I've just witnessed a young woman who left Islam for the sole reason to have sex with her friends at college.
Worst part: I was going to ask her hand in marriage.
Salam brothers
Walaikum Salam brother
How are you
Alhamdulillah
You mind if I ask you where you’re from?
I'm from Brazil

Alhamdulillah
Since 1436
Wallah 😂
Ya Allah you meant Islamic year
My bad brother
Yes, Anno Hijri
Bellator: Allah saved you from a degenerate with that girl. Are you Brazilian? My mother is from Brazil, but my father is Norwegian.
What a coincidence
My mother is also from Brazil, but my father is American
That is great, haha!
I have lived in Brazil since i was 3 though...
I have lived in Norway my whole life (except I also lived two years in Scotland)
Where in Brazil? How is it to be Muslim in Brazil? I assume they better understand the idea of believing in God (something that is completely alien here in Europe)
What do you do otherwise? Work? Study?
