so people don't choose which environment they travel into and live in?
the "new people" aren't detatched from the "old ones"
Well, not really. If they have to settle somewhere, that is probably itself driven by pressures - there's not enough food where they used to live in, etc.
the whole point is that the materialist worldview accepts that the objective world of matter exists and is primary, as we all implicitly here seem to agree - whether you like to admit it or not - so you can just as well stop shitting on it
I used to
agree with that
material isn't the primary and marxism is the big gay
Idealism is wholly untenable imo
idk your ideological mumbo jumbo
its not ideological
if u can speak in simple language
i have to stress this - Marxism didn't invent this and isn't the only ideology that subscribes to this
that'll be better
i know that
i just said Capitalism is Materialist
i made that point before you
its not philosophically materialist
I mean it *can be,* but it doesn't have to be
same is actually true of Socialism
i don't care
._.
as is the case with Strasserism
its idealist and not materialist
but still socialist
what does that mean
it means that it seems to hold the world of ideas primary to the world of matter, at least Strasser considered himself to be idealist and that's what idealism is, so thats what I've got here to work with
i would say Spirituality and your Mental Make Up really do matter
ofc you're playing that game within what you have, which is Material
but it's not like Ideas don't matter
the materialist considers the world of matter primary to the world of ideas. and when I say that capitalism isn't inherently materialist I mean that nothing in capitalist ideology demands that world of matter be primary to world of ideas
@Xinyue do you think it's better to organise a society by building families or without it? do you think that institution can be destroyed?
anything can be destroyed tbh, except matter-energy it seems, but yeah it can be destroyed but I don't think that it should be
now family is an abstract concept
I think family can be quite easily described as a relation of real living beings
a very specific relationship that is
it is a way of organization innit?
Its a way of organization that naturally happens around the parents and their offspring yes
a special kind of bond
due to the nature of the thing they organise around
