the Iron Guard never became the government

2018-12-18 11:45:45 UTC

and yes Fascism is anti-communist

2018-12-18 11:46:02 UTC

it always existed in direct reaction to the working class' class war

2018-12-18 11:46:10 UTC

because this, they contended, threatened "Muh culture"

2018-12-18 11:46:15 UTC

"muh superstructure"

2018-12-18 11:46:34 UTC

but... like i said earlier when you said i was a communist, it's nearly always based on the fact that Marx himself ignored pretty much everythign spiritual and like you made it obvious, there is a lack of importance of culture

2018-12-18 11:47:13 UTC

uh, no, Marx and Engels didn't ignore "all things spiritual" they had a very interesting way of viewing the universe called dialectical materialism

2018-12-18 11:47:27 UTC

and most people who call themselves nationalist do it from a point of caring about their people's culture and feeling a sense of kinship, Communism (since it ignores this) makes it seem like Commies are the enemy of these things

2018-12-18 11:47:40 UTC

the bulk of their theory focused on *historical materialism* but this isn't the same as dialectical materialism

2018-12-18 11:47:43 UTC

and even with Fascism being a young ideology with little intellectual substance

2018-12-18 11:47:57 UTC

it still achieved massive success, you can't view everything as being economic

2018-12-18 11:48:35 UTC

Marx had a very, very deep way of looking at human being and his place in the universe. The anti-Marxist loves to deny this and to characterise the Marxian as being void of spiritual content but this has no basis in reality

2018-12-18 11:49:37 UTC

You really don't even need to look at Marx, most Communists currently do not seem at all preoccupied with culture and with their anti-nationalist rhetoric make it seem they're anti-culture (and yes, I do think most communists don't care about culture)

```A spider conducts operations that resemble those of a weaver, and a bee puts to shame many an architect in the construction of her cells. But what distinguishes the worst architect from the best of bees is this, that the architect raises his structure in imagination before he erects it in reality. At the end of every labour-process, we get a result that already existed in the imagination of the labourer at its commencement. He not only effects a change of form in the material on which he works, but he also realises a purpose of his own that gives the law to his modus operandi, and to which he must subordinate his will. And this subordination is no mere momentary act.```
- Marx, in Capital
here you can clearly see how Marx attributes to human labour a specific characteristic
2018-12-18 11:51:04 UTC
its not just all about "muh materialistic hedonism" jfc 😄
2018-12-18 11:52:53 UTC
I wasn't talking about materialistic hedonism and i don't think communists are hedonistic in this sense, I'm saying there's a lack of spiritualism in that it talks about religion (you said religion is just proto-ideology, you pretty much remove it's essence by calling it just an idea we make) and also, when you make such an overwhelming focus on economics it's not going to be as attractive as a political ideology whose focus is mostly on le nation, culture, ethnos and etc
2018-12-18 11:52:59 UTC
you need to strike a balance, that's my point
2018-12-18 11:53:06 UTC
or atleast have Communism be more "nationalistic"
2018-12-18 11:53:06 UTC
Fascist economics basically takes national industry and shapes it into a gestalt body
2018-12-18 11:54:41 UTC
"Franco wasn't a fascist", how wasn't he a fascist?
2018-12-18 11:54:45 UTC
Also no, I don't think Fascism is capitalism in decay considering many leaders came from socialist backgrounds who genuinely seemed to care about their people @Xinyue
```The animal is immediately one with its life activity. It is not distinct from that activity; it is that activity. Man makes his life activity itself an object of his will and consciousness. He has conscious life activity. It is not a determination with which he directly merges. Conscious life activity directly distinguishes man from animal life activity. Only because of that is he a species-being. Or, rather, he is a conscious being – i.e., his own life is an object for him, only because he is a species-being. Only because of that is his activity free activity. Estranged labour reverses the relationship so that man, just because he is a conscious being, makes his life activity, his essential being, a mere means for his existence.[21]

(...) Man is a species-being, not only because he practically and theoretically makes the species – both his own and those of other things – his object, but also – and this is simply another way of saying the same thing – because he looks upon himself as the present, living species, because he looks upon himself as a universal and therefore free being.```
- Marx, in German Ideology

idk about you but this is still meaningful for me 😄

2018-12-18 11:55:35 UTC

Whoa

2018-12-18 11:55:39 UTC

Did you get that from Wikipedia?

2018-12-18 11:55:41 UTC

did you read what i wrote?

2018-12-18 11:55:56 UTC

The point is that this is *spiritual* in that it deals with man's spirit

2018-12-18 11:56:02 UTC

you can't say that it isn't so

2018-12-18 11:56:44 UTC

Materialism doesn't deny man spirit, it simply says that matter is primary to his spirit and not the other way around.

2018-12-18 11:56:52 UTC

You're not getting the point I'm making, dude.

2018-12-18 11:57:08 UTC

clearly not

2018-12-18 11:58:00 UTC

The problem with both fascism and communism is that they both try to provide a political solution to a social/spiritual problem.
Only after solving this issue can you efficiently solve everything else.

2018-12-18 11:58:22 UTC

>spiritual in that it deals with man's spirit

This isn't the type of spiritual i mean, and this still seems very geared towards labour, class and etc, like you can call this spiritual (looks gay to me because i can't understand it) but i'm talking about things such as ethnicity, society (not in the class way but moreso culture) and religion

2018-12-18 11:58:39 UTC

this still is talking about work/economics one way or another

2018-12-18 11:58:42 UTC

Depends on your definition of "genuine caring", mussolini threw all his syndicalist buddies under the bus for whatever reason and hitler only used the straser brothers to get their support and discarded them when he achieved his goals

2018-12-18 11:59:00 UTC

mhm

2018-12-18 11:59:11 UTC

Economics and politics going hand in hand is a product of our time. Prior to industrialization the ruling class didnt decide economic matters the way it did today, the Guilds were self regulating.
