2018-12-21 07:18:19 UTC

mabe thats just my boomer take

2018-12-21 07:18:27 UTC

a socialist mabe then?

2018-12-21 07:18:30 UTC

They're more in the Democratic Socialist/Left Wing Populist camp

2018-12-21 07:18:32 UTC

yeah

2018-12-21 07:18:34 UTC

Chavez was Marxist, but he was gradualist; Maduro seems like opportunist

2018-12-21 07:18:49 UTC

Chavez had the idea of the Communal State,

2018-12-21 07:18:56 UTC

but Maduro hasn't done anything to reach it

2018-12-21 07:18:59 UTC

in all these years

2018-12-21 07:19:01 UTC

Yeah

2018-12-21 07:19:02 UTC

2018-12-21 07:19:13 UTC

Is that an LGBT flag?

2018-12-21 07:19:19 UTC

left-nationalism is a tradition with long history, not sure why it fell out of favour

2018-12-21 07:19:32 UTC

hmmm (((wonder why))) lol

2018-12-21 07:20:07 UTC

and obviously Nazism from the Hitler standpoint wasn't leftism, it has to be said, that was centrism at best and rightism at worst

2018-12-21 07:20:46 UTC

i mean, it definitely wasn't as left as strasserism, but german socialism is different from marxist socialism, so take it as you will

2018-12-21 07:20:56 UTC

Strasserism was genuine left

2018-12-21 07:20:59 UTC

Hitlerism wasn't

2018-12-21 07:21:22 UTC

I don't define all left as Marxism

2018-12-21 07:21:37 UTC

but I do define left as revolving around joint ownership of the means of production

2018-12-21 07:21:45 UTC

and Hitler specifically spoke against this

2018-12-21 07:22:03 UTC

Mhm

2018-12-21 07:22:05 UTC

so that would by definition exclude him imo

2018-12-21 07:22:15 UTC

Fascism does curb Capitalism, but only to a certain extent

2018-12-21 07:22:25 UTC

it allows it to exist in a diminished form yes

2018-12-21 07:22:27 UTC

yeah, i dunno. i mean it has leftist tendencies but sure, it wasn't full left

> marxism is anti-property, socialism is not

Socialism was invented by Henri de Saint-Simon, and he agreed with Marx's anti private property stance. Hitler didn't know what he was talking about *or* intentionally misled people. Either way, his "socialism" is subjectivist and ahistorical

2018-12-21 07:23:50 UTC

uhhhhh

2018-12-21 07:23:57 UTC

he's about as "socialist" as Ocasio-Cortez

2018-12-21 07:26:53 UTC

Also, Hitler was an atheist, btw

2018-12-21 07:26:58 UTC

In that quote he says he isn't

2018-12-21 07:27:09 UTC

but he definitely was

2018-12-21 07:27:16 UTC

i mean i could link you an old ass book that says probably otherwise, about german socialism
i think hitler/natsoc etc understood that private property was important as an institution, but still understood that international capital and corporations must be put on a leash,
but merit is still important, so there can still be "rich" and "working class" but all of it is in accordance with class collaboration,
harmony of the classes,
hierarchy is an important and a natural law, but it shouldn't be a detriment to the majority of the people etc

2018-12-21 07:27:26 UTC

He considered Christianity to be "an extension of the Jewish faith"

2018-12-21 07:27:29 UTC

Look,

2018-12-21 07:27:39 UTC

a position which he held in private but never made public

2018-12-21 07:27:41 UTC

socialism emerged as the theory of society which is based around social ownership by the workers
