It was unrealistic, but they wrote thousands of pages on this and unlike the Hoxhaists and the other subpar authors, it was pure theoretical substance that accounted for the emergence of cybernetics, atomic energy, the space age, automation and artificial intelligence. I can't think of a work more relevant for Marxists in 2018 than, say, *Fundamentals of Marxism-Leninism* etc.
