Biggest problem with the petro is you cannot pay your taxes in it

in fact some are even owned by Armed Forces Generals

That number being so low, is enough to show they have a negligible economy

If you can't pay taxes with it, nobody wants it and thus is useless for trade

also the Dollar is Pretty popular in the Black Market

now the Venezuelan people are even trading in dollars

there's even a business of purchasing and selling dollars

the point is that, while PSUV and its goals are socialist, Venezuela itself is *not yet socialist* and this is due to their gradualist policies which I personally resent as ineffective and essentially begging for risk and hostile aggression by the imperialist capital bloc
