Well, if each group was their own fucking country, ie: balkans, they'd at least have shit in common and thus no divide. The lefties would be forced to fend for themselves, possibly die out. I'm not advocating for the U.S splitting into new countries. I'm saying if we don't sort our shit out, post civil war it could look like that. I'd much rather see the quasi state system removed and have things reorganized.

If you look at how the US votes the blue areas are VERY concentrated. They also advocate the abolition of the electoral college and want direct democracy. This is why. The few urban areas with dense population would control the fate of the entire country.
