I told a room full of CJ people to get bent and that that violates civil rights

2018-11-12 02:07:11 UTC

@RoflTank its unconstitutional as fuck

2018-11-12 02:07:32 UTC

Like you cannot be legally charged or anything without being present in said court to argue your side.

2018-11-12 02:07:43 UTC

Otherwise it's absolutely illegal

2018-11-12 02:08:50 UTC

They need to have legally gathered evidence that proves beyond reasonable doubt the need of the court to issue a search and seizure order to the police, and in order to do that you should need to be present to defend yourself and provide reasonable doubt.

2018-11-12 02:09:16 UTC

Otherwise is it actually a legally valid court? I think not.

2018-11-12 02:10:14 UTC

They can gather evidence and bring it before a judge, and the judge can serve a warrant without your knowledge

2018-11-12 02:10:29 UTC

This is no warrant service

2018-11-12 02:13:18 UTC

All I know is they’re gonna have to Dallas bomb robot us

2018-11-12 02:21:51 UTC

@RoflTank please have that discussion with law enforcement with a gun pointed your way.

2018-11-12 02:22:11 UTC

The cops can do whatever the fuck they want

2018-11-12 02:22:30 UTC

Whether what they do holds up in court later is a completely different story.

2018-11-12 02:41:01 UTC

And who knows what will happen to your property while it's in lockup

2018-11-12 02:41:44 UTC

Y'know, that's why you don't open the door for police until they state their intentions

2018-11-12 02:42:11 UTC

You know I did that once

2018-11-12 02:42:27 UTC

Turns out they were lookin. For the previous occupants of the home

2018-11-12 02:42:34 UTC

And if they don't leave when told to return with a valid court order, you can defend yourself and your property against illegal search and seizure.

2018-11-12 02:43:25 UTC

You are legally allowed to fire on police under certain circumstances? Are you sure

2018-11-12 02:43:48 UTC

Man, you act like it’s so simple

2018-11-12 02:44:04 UTC

This shit doesn’t always happen when you’re at your house

2018-11-12 02:44:40 UTC

What do they do if I have a safe? To they take the safe or break into it?

2018-11-12 02:44:43 UTC

And if you decide to shoot at the cops, you can rest assured that there will be plenty more there at the speed of motorola

2018-11-12 02:45:22 UTC

@Nic386 they call a locksmith to open the safe. I don’t think you can be compelled to open it.

2018-11-12 02:45:38 UTC

Not unless they have a court order yeah

2018-11-12 02:46:12 UTC

Also, you guys forget this whole probable cause thing

2018-11-12 02:46:35 UTC

Which is infinitely flexible in law enforcement’s favor

2018-11-12 02:46:52 UTC

Are they constituting a red flag report as probable cause?

2018-11-12 02:47:10 UTC

🤔 I wonder.

2018-11-12 02:47:24 UTC

I’d say yes.

2018-11-12 02:48:04 UTC

But I haven’t read the docs

2018-11-12 02:48:22 UTC

Is that a state or federal level law?

2018-11-12 02:48:37 UTC

The red flag stuff is state level

2018-11-12 02:48:48 UTC

Unless there is something new I don’t know about

2018-11-12 02:48:56 UTC

I assume people are trying to push it in every state tho

2018-11-12 02:49:32 UTC

This is why state level gun rights discussions are more important than federal right now.

2018-11-12 02:49:50 UTC

(The discussion that led to all of this) was specifically about Maryland, which is a liberal enclave

2018-11-12 02:51:03 UTC

Almost 50% went to Abrams here, I'm worried that they might have the numbers to start pushing things like that in GA

2018-11-12 02:52:13 UTC

Then get involved in local gun rights groups in your state

2018-11-12 02:52:21 UTC

It doesn’t take much.

2018-11-12 02:52:28 UTC

I'll find some

2018-11-12 02:58:54 UTC

It is probable cause under red flag laws
