Essex County, Massachusetts — First responders were overwhelmed as apparent gas explosions were ripping through homes in three Massachusetts towns Thursday.

Massive home explosions and fires were reported in Lawrence, Andover and North Andover–at least 50 structures were burning. Police were also receiving numerous calls reporting the odor of gas.

The fire is huge and involves three towns. Roads are blocked with vehicles fro m evacuees. This sounds planned as the gas lines were over-pressured. How could any one who is properly trained make such a mistake? Could it be terrorism?

Houses don't just "explode" from gas leaks... there is definitely more to this. Doubt striking gas workers are trying to kill neighbors.

a house could certainly explode from a gas leak, if it leaks long enough in a closed space and there is a spark or something to ignite it

but this many in a row tells me someone did something to cause the lines to be stressed or overloaded

Also many of the homes have an explosion through the center from front to back which is how the gas lines come off of the main line under the street
