What do you all think about birth certificates being sold and all that ?
I wonder if my personal dilemma over the treatment of the unborn is shared with anyone else? I am an adoptee, and was told by my birth mother 42 years later that if they'd had abortion back in the early 1940s, I wouldn't be here! [We were playing cards, and I took the one she really wanted.] Ha-ha. Anyway, as a libertarian, I am basically against government being in the business of regulating personal conduct like who you can marry, who you can adopt, how high your picket fence can be, who owns rainwater, and on and on ... as long as other people and their properties are not harmed.
So what to do about abortion? Should the "life of the child" be defined by time - how long into a pregnancy? I am told that some define "life" as the moment the new born takes his/her/its first breath outside the womb. Others say at conception. Or after so many weeks ... Please discuss.
