MFW watching Overlord and the main character summons a fucking Sharknado

Is Overlord good?

It kind of intrigues me

I enjoy it

Story is your basic Isekai concept of guy ends up in his video game

There are some significant differences though

Basics are, this guy is playing a Pay to win MMO with a bunch of other non-NEETS (I.E They all have jobs so they can all afford the Pay to win Bullshit packages)
So every member of this guild is Max level with OP items

They go and craft a huge ass guild with its own base and a bunch of NPCs
Eventually, the guild members start to leave

Suddenly, the game announces that it's shutting down the servers

By this point, this one guy who you see in all the overlord promo shit is the only guy left

He's sitting in the guild meeting hall just as the servers shut down and....

Boom, into the fantasy world

Main differences between other Isekais being that

1) He's a broken OP mary sue character (But that's OK because it's not a "heroe's journey" story)

2) The NPCs he creates come to life and do his bidding, they worship him as a god as their creator

3) MC is not a socially awkward cuck who has no idea what he's doing (With one exception in the first episode but he gets over it)

4) His goal is basically to conquer the world

yeah imagine if the season 5 intro was actually good

I miss the 3D models a little bit tbh

Not a huge fan of Chase You tho

Chase You was great

It fit well with the duality between Josuke and Kira

Both chasing a dream of having a peaceful life

And how it doubled for Josuke and Kira's actions

Like Josuke and the Morioh warriors going on a manhunt (chasing) after Kira

i got confused with season 5

And Kira's sheer heart attack stand and arc

And how it follows (chases) someone till their eliminated

Also the tone of the song and gray scale color of the OP signifies that the daily slice of life adventures were over. That it was gonna turn dark.

The song choice might be controversial, some people love, others dont. But I believe DPs did a great job on the second OP.

Now when it comes to part 5s second OP...

Yeah that OP sucks.
