Yeah
I had that too
I had an *extremely white* classmate navy brat who managed to get our western history class to gang up on me and say I wasn't Japanese enough because *she lived there on a navy base*
Oh fuck one of those people
Meanwhile both of my Japanese grandparents fucking *hate*(ed) Americans because they were children during WW2 (my grandma is gone now, but she was evac'd from Tokyo during the napalm raids; grandpa's family lived in Nagasaki when they nuked it)
Holy hell
I also was accused of being a satanist and antisemite despite, y'know ***wanting to reproduce with a jewish man and make more merchants***
Jesus this is bringing back a bit of memories of highschool
*Now* I am a sort of satanist (not levayan or any of that shit; I'm aware it's stupid shit ok) and I am a-hunting for my judenkop
HS is shit
Kids are ridiculously fucking cruel and don't care
A lot of people don't grow beyond HS
I'm honestly glad i chose not to go to college at times because i got so fucking tired over how judgmental people got
Oh god yeah
Our councilors were fucking awful, they pushed and pushed for college to the point that they would look down the option of community college
If they knew that I was washing dishes/working a minimum wage job and not accumulating life-destroying debt, they'd be so angry and would shit talk me
Fuck me reminds me how some teachers would act how if you don't go to college you'll never find a job and you'll struggle all your life. WELL GUESS WHAT YOU FUCKS I WORKED IN AN AUTO SHOP FOR 9 MONTHS WITHOUT GOING TO COLLEGE BITCH
They'd be even *angrier* if they knew that I'm relatively happy where I'm at (asides from the work load kicking my ass and having issues with my lazy coworker, I'm very fucking happy)
I remember talking to someone from school a while ago and they were surprised to hear that i was doing Alright without college
Kinda gave me a bit of hope tbh
Might apply to one of the positions available at walm if it's still up
People underestimate how valuable jobs like mechanic and autowork actually are lol
They really do
Even simple shit like working a grocery store
Simplest rule of thumb when it comes to jobs: if your making enough to cover the basics (food, gas, bills, etc) you'll do fine
Yeah
Dishwashing *does* suck as a job, and I don't want it to be a life-long career
But at the same time it feels nice to be a part of something bigger
The restaurant pretty much halts and can't function without certain dishes, and we're responsible for things like sanitation
i only like jobs like that if im not working for a chain or corporation. if im working at a smaller independently owned place i always feel better going to work
^^
Feels so fucking good to work for a group that hates the feds as much or more than I do
^^^^^
i always know its gonna be a fun job when you get trained and someone says "so this is how the government wants us to do it but fuck that we do it this way"
I had a customer service event on Thursday and we had a tribal elder join us
the venom in her tone when talking about the feds LOL
Hmm looks like two positions in the same are of walm are now open
<:tricks:558624501605335040>
bruh work anything but cap-2
they work you like a hebrew slave and pay you the same as the people that stand in the ac and just help check people out
Well i need the money rn so i have no choice
