There's an animated film adaption of it, both are fucking fantastic

To summerize: basically the comic focuses on her childhood, teenage years and eventual growth into an adult and forsaking her home country due to the revolution

And how her entire country was douped from thinking they could have a coup d'etat and that democracy would make the country freeier and less oppressive, instead they ended up with the Islamic state

That's the TL;DR
But it's a good read if you want something that can be related to current times and how things became the way they have

That autobiographical comic is really great and it's also very upsetting
