windows 10 fucking crashes (or at least safe modes) if you try to use it on a different PC

I'm moving to Manjaro once 7 is totally dead

i've used the same install regularly on a:
Dell E6400
Dell E6410
Dell Precision m4700
Thinkpad P50
some compaq AMD thing

and a few desktops

no modesetting issues

everything worked fine

meanwhile i tried moving a windows 10 install from one intel-nvidia pc to another intel-nvidia pc

and i had to reinstall because it refused to boot

Nvida drivers are shit tbh

Always have issues with hardware changes in Nvidia boxes

linux just automatically disables the GPU kek

Have to blow the drivers out before the change because when it defaults to those drivers it causes the issue

why doesnt windows just handle drivers like most UNIX based/like OSes

If it defaulted to the generic it would be fine

the way drivers should be handled is:
"hmm okay well this thing that is plugged in doesnt look like it uses this driver let's use this one or the generic one"

not "hmm okay lets use this driver forever and disable the generic one
