Why do you want to?

2018-12-08 23:27:51 UTC

Because PCCs are sweet

2018-12-08 23:28:32 UTC

They are pretty fun

2018-12-09 09:10:54 UTC

"Why would you want to?" Is the enemy of the 2A

2018-12-09 09:11:15 UTC

Just like how I want to build this new fangled 45 70 AR

2018-12-09 15:40:04 UTC

That's an abomination

2018-12-09 15:41:08 UTC

But it looks fun

2018-12-09 15:43:19 UTC

Do they even make 45-70 mags?

2018-12-09 15:43:50 UTC

Gonna look like a bubba'd AK-M4

2018-12-09 15:46:05 UTC

Yes

2018-12-09 15:46:14 UTC

But you need to cut the rim on the cartridge

2018-12-09 20:14:34 UTC

Boys, I want a 10/22

2018-12-09 20:14:55 UTC

How should I build it?

2018-12-09 23:10:51 UTC

Go... buy one and shoot it?

2018-12-09 23:11:54 UTC

bavarian stock

2018-12-10 00:19:19 UTC

Bigger charging handle, run it like an AK.

2018-12-10 02:31:41 UTC

16" Bull barrel and volquartsen innards

2018-12-10 04:00:24 UTC

Buy the gun and shoot it, and then decide what you want to upgrade. Otherwise you’re just throwing parts at something and crossing your fingers.

You can't reasonably discern what needs to be tweaked without experiencing the base model

2018-12-11 23:04:06 UTC

AK Build Tools:
http://www.tothtool.com/
those are the tools I used
bending the receiver is another animal
it's not as difficult as an HK receiver
pressing the barrel in isn't difficult with that barrel puller/pusher
some people use hydraulic presses
I preferred that rig

2018-12-11 23:05:13 UTC

AK Builder is an excellent build resource for tools and parts

2018-12-12 03:23:00 UTC

@Sadmin can we get some of this good man’s posts pinned?

2018-12-12 16:55:33 UTC

Fair to ask dumb repair questions here, or that more of the normal k channel?

2018-12-12 16:56:22 UTC

🤷

2018-12-12 16:56:56 UTC

ask

2018-12-12 17:03:22 UTC

I'm sure some of you have already seen that

2018-12-12 17:13:20 UTC

I'm repairing my dads Mauser (mostly just cleaning really) and the lock sleeve spring on the cocking piece is a bit weak, leading to fun bolt shenanigans

2018-12-12 17:13:42 UTC

It looks like an easy fix, just slide it out and in. Am i missing something probably?

2018-12-12 17:32:29 UTC

second link shows step by step in pics

2018-12-12 18:03:24 UTC

I looked for that, but my Google fu is week on guns

2018-12-12 18:03:33 UTC

Thanks so much, it's exactly what i needed!
