So here's a question for ya'll that tends to shape political views of individuals quite a lot; Are humans beings fundamentally good or are they fundamentally bad?
I'll state my views after everyone else has spoken who wants to, as I'd rather not taint the discussion with my bias.
Fundamentally neutral
We learn a lot of good and bad behavior because morality is a socially agreed upon concept and unique to humans
Fundamentally bad
I don't think there's any objective way to define "Good or bad" so we would likely be neutral
Humans are inherently greedy and will act in their own self interest
This is not a bad thing
This dates back to our primate relatives and our survival instincts
Humans are violent in nature and self interested.
nigga just read the ego and its own
begome egoist
No?
I'm expanding my philosophy reading list as I go. I've gone from stirner to zizek so far. Gonna go back to the Greeks tho ^)
Philosophy should be mandatory
We’re animals
Not by nature good or evil, but we do things that are bad for ourselves and others because of those animal instincts. We tend towards the negative end
*we live in a society*
Sorry, what?
