The Type-10 is also built to be completely modular, so its armor is far higher than the base weight.
everything's modular if you try hard enough
all they did was make the base armor bolted on instead of welded
No, the armor is literally modular. They transport it at like 35 tons, and they can shove something like another 20 tons of armor on it as needed.
so you don't have to cut to change it
It's built like an M8 but not retarded
again- the only thing modular about it is the ease of mounting
and even the heaviest package is only like 8 tonnes
the Abrams armor weighs close to 20
evidence suggest the Type-10 is barely (if at all) more armored than the Type-90
For a 35-45 ton tank? Oh my, how terrible.
it just had to go under ~50 tonnes because bridges can't handle more
it wasn't even meant to replace the 90
but the 74s
which are 60s tech
Oh, and what about AMAP 4th gen panels being multi-hit rated against KE and CE penetrators.
Also nanoalloy based
AMAP is ceramic-based, yes
Not just carbon cermaics, but THS and the like as well
but there's no evidence AMAP alone can handle 800mm+ KE warheads
Unless you're implying they'd test a next-gen armor kit against outdated penetrators and threats
AMAPs only use on tanks are on the Leopard 2 Evolution
which conveniently places it on top of NERA-based Leopard 2 armor
same on the PUMA IFV
Oh fuck I forgot the Puma was a thing
Puma is kraut space magic
*Still no ATGMs because budget cuts*
Bruh what even is that fucking turbolaser gun
>sounds a blaster
Literally has a laser weapon
LASER WEAPON
It'll be some boring electric system, but it sounds deadly
I have no fucking clue what that means
Imagine hiding in a foxhole and hearing that above your head
Electric recoil dampening or something
the only thing that comes to mind is a laser rangefinder, but that's pretty common
Errrr, it might be a HEL
At a guess, that's a motor
