Fallout is shitty Stalker

because it's only tangentally related to stalker

survival elements are... negligible

gunplay is more arcadey than cawadooty

you've literally got a levelling system that allows rando NPC's to tank headshots better than power armour

it used to be a dungeon crawler with guns

then 3/NV/4 were Oblivion/Morrowind/Skyrim with guns

and now it's just some kind of bastard lovechild of Destiny and Rust

with a Fallout visual pack

honestly RUST has more in common with stalker

fairly hard survival elements, emphasis on scavenging, moderately realistic combat

and a player progression based on "you're only as good as your gear"

stalker is slavpunk and fallout is atom/dieselpunk

compairing the 2 is like a hi point to a les baer

yeah that's the other thing

stalker was so far ahead of its time

stalker is bleak as fuck

one could argue that stalker set the stage for the entire market

Stalker is an odd game too because its only a post apocalyptic shithole in the zone, and the game lets you know that

I like new vegas for the western style

I think I would love fallout 1 and 2

As I like Wasteland 1 and 2

Stalker really didn't bother pulling punches with you

they gave it to you head on and usually with gunfire

I like games that punish

Like Rust. Classic WoW. Etc.
