I was able to kill almost any enemy with an SNG with the bleed effect
I would say it was a mediocre shooter at best
Every game has some sort of sponginess, but fpsrpg has to rely on that dialed up to eleven

Good FPSRPG rely on new and interesting enemies with varied abilities and reactions
Which is, honestly, just good games in general
Good thing nobody actually knows how to make enemies interesting any more

The sad part is it's not hard to make dangerously competent AI
In fact the difficulty is making the AI retarded enough for players to compete
And nobody wants an ai that provides challenge these days
It's sad but true.
I mean no matter how competent the AI, Raiders or Gunners aren't gonna be much of a threat if you mulch them with a minigun as you stomp around in T-45+
But I wish there were more sniper and stealth enemies

So you start a fight at like 10% hp because lmao you didn't see it coming
Ammo variants used by specific enemies would have been nice too, with a smart AI selection system

So for instance, a Grenadier with a pulse grenade would pop it at your PA and force you out of it, then chuck incendiaries

Theres a reason i enjoy tarkov, and its because half of the time they overtweak the ai so that a bunch of shitlords start pushing you whilst some of them run suppressive fire

the Hunting shotgun was my favorite weapon in NV due to versatility of the 12ga and ease of maintainence
though once you got the right perk you could repair it with about any longgun, or atleast any shotgun
Honestly a good combat change for Fallout would be Stimpacks give you only 50% up-front HP, then HOT, and too many will actively poison you and deduct HP instead of healing
Like, straight up when 10.5 hit, the ai was terrifying because i was being suppressed whilst other ai was moving up
Case in point
It's not that hard to make scary capable AI
I liked rust cause they aimbotted for a while
Like it was an actual challenge
But shotty scavs were broken on accidemt, so they got tweaked around so theyre not terrible now, but still kind pf crappy
