In theory at least, I could mount 2 ironstorm missile pods and 1 stormspear missile pod all at the same time to my Castellan.

I tried going back to 40K recently

apparently Guard went from weak to amazinggood

Too bad it turns out thats only when your 'guard' army is cheap infantry filler for Marines and Marineier Marines. Too bad Chimeras are dead. Too bad Veterans are dead. Too bad Leman Russ are dead.

@Blood Rose It's why I build dedicated armies that self sustain themselves

My only personal army is an AdMech army that's small but self sustaining. They can out Tau the Tau in some cases with just ranged ability, but the other army I've built with a friend was a Blood Angels army. They never really directly planned on playing with it (she had more fun painting than anything which is understandable), but I made sure to help her build it up to the point where it would sustain itself in a game

You see I did the same, with my Guard army, only to be shafted with the edition change.
You sound like you have some cool stuff though, care to share?

Guard is reasonably strong, with vehicles having been all around buffed, and templates being nerfed
