I'm definitely more for the Enfield, there's a large collectors group I can join

2018-09-01 19:31:51 UTC

Its just too good. The worst Enfield I've ever handled is still inherently better than a Mosin.

Unless your measure for good is a built in bayonet and tolerances so loose it produces [Gun Noises] every time you pick it up and move it

2018-09-01 19:33:02 UTC

give me a gun pls

2018-09-01 19:33:13 UTC

Which variant would be best for a starter?

2018-09-01 19:33:34 UTC

No. 4 Mk. 1 if you can find it.

2018-09-01 19:33:37 UTC

i will cook for you

2018-09-01 19:34:00 UTC

There's tonnes over here

2018-09-01 19:34:06 UTC

IIRC, they were made in the largest numbers and the sight improvements are going to be useful.

2018-09-01 19:34:34 UTC

My friend got his in awful condition for $200

2018-09-01 19:34:40 UTC

Bargain

2018-09-01 19:35:26 UTC

What I'm going to do is collect uniforms from ww2 and have a matching rifle for each uniform

2018-09-01 19:35:27 UTC

Not too bad. there were better ones hanging around $350

2018-09-01 19:35:34 UTC

alright

2018-09-01 19:35:55 UTC

if you want to do that and have a good bolt gun, get the Enfield

2018-09-01 19:36:10 UTC

if you want that to be easier, but somewhat expensive, get an M1 and US gear

2018-09-01 19:36:21 UTC

I can only really get bolt actions thanks to uk law

2018-09-01 19:36:26 UTC

and if you want garbage go Italian or USSR

2018-09-01 19:36:27 UTC

ah

2018-09-01 19:36:33 UTC

alright then

2018-09-01 19:36:45 UTC

I assumed you were a burger

2018-09-01 19:37:07 UTC

Full blooded brit

2018-09-01 19:37:11 UTC

Go brit then. Its just the best all around. Local availability for uniform stuff too

2018-09-01 19:38:23 UTC

i cook many thing for gun

2018-09-01 19:38:30 UTC

a feast

2018-09-01 19:41:00 UTC

Where you at snek

2018-09-01 19:48:30 UTC

@Doomfan98 ya know, if practicality really isn't your thing a nugget could be an alright idea for you. I rather like mine, but mostly because of how bad it is. There is not a time fingerfucking it that I don't think to myself "holy shit they designed it that way" and that always puts a smile on my face

2018-09-01 19:49:23 UTC

if the price difference is significant, I think that does actually make up for a lot of its shortcomings

2018-09-01 19:55:13 UTC

Would Ishapore .308s be a big thing in the UK

2018-09-01 19:56:48 UTC

I want an ish

2018-09-01 19:56:58 UTC

Mainly so I don't have to feed 303

2018-09-01 19:57:21 UTC

Is it the brits or germans that are autistic about putting active use military cartridges in civie hands?

2018-09-01 19:59:44 UTC

Probably both

2018-09-01 19:59:57 UTC

Then again ammo laws aren't too bad

2018-09-01 20:00:08 UTC

One can own a 50 bmg bolt action

2018-09-01 20:00:27 UTC

Sometimes you need a good reason to own a fire arm though

2018-09-01 20:01:05 UTC

yeah

2018-09-01 20:01:19 UTC

joining a club for enfield owners would be a good enough reason

2018-09-01 20:01:37 UTC

make some calls and get them to vouch for you if you need your good reason

2018-09-01 20:03:00 UTC

an Ishapore would be great assuming its in good condition. But, IIRC, you are limited on how much ammo you can own at a time so its not like the US where it becomes a better solution to buy in bulk and horde it
