@Anticom as long as you are doing it in plastic or aluminum the cheep 4 flute end mills you can get on amazon or in a hardware store should be fine, with steel or anything else you wanna go with a professional machine tool supplier

2018-10-08 23:04:28 UTC

Don't buy a shitty 4 flute. Buy a mid tier so you have to do less cleanup

2018-10-08 23:05:01 UTC

I'd say buy one at 1/4th and a few smaller ones

2018-10-08 23:05:36 UTC

Well I was thinking more about being able to cut the material and not blow apart on ya but yeah, better tooling. Will always give better results

2018-10-08 23:06:15 UTC

And yeah, a 1/4, 1/8, and probably whatever specific pin hole sizes you need

2018-10-08 23:06:34 UTC

Dont use an endmill for pin holes

2018-10-08 23:06:40 UTC

Use a proper drill bit

2018-10-08 23:06:52 UTC

Endmills don't like doing the work of a drill

2018-10-08 23:07:00 UTC

I don't see an issue with plunging it

2018-10-08 23:07:10 UTC

Center punch the hole for the drill bit and rock and roll

2018-10-08 23:07:19 UTC

Especially after you already cut out all the stuff in the middle you have to

2018-10-08 23:08:39 UTC

I mean yeah, centerdrilling and drilling it out would probably give you a much better result

2018-10-08 23:08:54 UTC

Not even a center drill. Just punch mark it

2018-10-08 23:09:01 UTC

I know with the Polymer 80s, they come with all the bits you need don't they?

2018-10-08 23:09:15 UTC

Yeah but he is probably doing an ar15

2018-10-08 23:09:25 UTC

Poly 80s you can do with a drill

2018-10-08 23:10:30 UTC

Poly 80s you can do with a dremel in a pinch

2018-10-08 23:10:45 UTC

You can for sure use dremels

2018-10-08 23:11:44 UTC

The holes will be shit more than likely if you try that tho

2018-10-08 23:12:02 UTC

Nope

2018-10-08 23:12:21 UTC

Lock it in a vice and don't plunge it and you'll be ok

2018-10-08 23:13:25 UTC

Well with the P80 yeah cause it has the holding piece with the drill guides

2018-10-08 23:13:42 UTC

But anything else is a crapshoot

2018-10-08 23:14:01 UTC

Probably all the handguns but 1911 molds would be fine

2018-10-08 23:14:08 UTC

Don't try on a rifle

2018-10-08 23:14:31 UTC

Exactly

2018-10-09 00:25:25 UTC

Ty for advice

2018-10-09 00:26:29 UTC

I'm not doing an 80%. I'm trying to machine ak trunnions

2018-10-09 00:31:00 UTC

Oh.

2018-10-09 00:32:11 UTC

Well, more specifically I'm trying to machine the 4.5 mm sidefolders

2018-10-09 00:32:22 UTC

because I'm not payinng $200 for one of those
