yes

2018-11-06 15:18:57 UTC

Yes

2018-11-06 15:19:06 UTC

I think I got my CZ in... 2013? 14?

2018-11-06 15:19:08 UTC

also, you should shoot it to see how it runs and how it feels

2018-11-06 15:19:13 UTC

Had my PD ammo since then...

2018-11-06 15:19:15 UTC

SOOOOOOOOOOO

2018-11-06 15:19:18 UTC

It's time.

2018-11-06 15:19:35 UTC

I take my carry gun and shoot all the ammo that’s in it periodically, then clean the gun

2018-11-06 15:19:40 UTC

stick with the known performers

2018-11-06 15:19:41 UTC

don’t ever let ammo sit for super long periods of time unless it’s made for shelf life.

2018-11-06 15:19:50 UTC

HSTs, Golt Dots, XTPs

2018-11-06 15:19:51 UTC

Spam can ammo

2018-11-06 15:19:53 UTC

Because carry guns fill with lint, get sweaty, etc

2018-11-06 15:20:11 UTC

I have had two glock extractors fail due to lint

2018-11-06 15:20:16 UTC

It's 144gr I thikn

2018-11-06 15:20:19 UTC

Exactly. @Innaswamp is right.

The ammo I’m currently working on stockpiling is 7n6

2018-11-06 15:20:33 UTC

Why

2018-11-06 15:20:41 UTC

Spam cans with sealed ammo.

2018-11-06 15:20:48 UTC

@Bald Eagle Jerk carry whatever weight you prefer, some prefer heavy for caliber

2018-11-06 15:20:48 UTC

I mean, I have a ton of ball ammo on the shelf, guess I can’t talk

2018-11-06 15:21:26 UTC

I prefer +P 124gr 9mm Gold Dot for energy and expansion

2018-11-06 15:21:30 UTC

I started with 124gr +P for carry, but all the new stuff I buy is 147gr standard pressure

2018-11-06 15:21:42 UTC

the 147gr HST performs very well

2018-11-06 15:21:51 UTC

Especially for the single stack carry guns

2018-11-06 15:22:03 UTC

+p is quickly becoming standard pressure

2018-11-06 15:22:10 UTC

124 +P GDGP out of a Glock 43 hurts

2018-11-06 15:22:28 UTC

The smaller the gun the less of a reason to use +p

2018-11-06 15:22:36 UTC

watch his 9mm ammo quest

2018-11-06 15:22:51 UTC

I'll watch that in a bit.

2018-11-06 15:23:04 UTC

Or: go watch tnoutdoors9’s ammo testing

2018-11-06 15:23:09 UTC

that too

2018-11-06 15:23:11 UTC

Anyone know if the sealant is the only factor with long shelf life on 7n6 or do the corrosive primers contribute to long shelf life somehow too? I’ve heard conflicting things.

2018-11-06 15:23:11 UTC

Shame he’s not doing it any more.

2018-11-06 15:23:20 UTC

I'm wondering if I should use different ammo in my handguns. I have a CZ 75 P07 Duty and a Sig P938...

2018-11-06 15:23:39 UTC

again, depends on how the pistol handles it

2018-11-06 15:23:54 UTC

I would recommend 147gr HST for the 938

2018-11-06 15:24:02 UTC

and whatever you want for the P07

2018-11-06 15:24:16 UTC

Buy a few boxes of good ammo and see what runs the best in what

2018-11-06 15:24:23 UTC

147 HST is my choice as well

2018-11-06 15:24:28 UTC

@tumble 7N6 will last forever and its not because of the sealant or corrosive primer
