The P20/P30 look a lot more comfortable than the USP.

Not necessarily @Vanilla Cake coz the USP is still valid and still pretty damn good. It's just chonky.
The P2000 was it's own thing entirely and sprouted it's own little lineage of the P30 which is inspired ergonomically by the VP9 and it has a hammered action instead of striker fired.

The USP is kinda the HK P226 with all of its chonk

Technically, the P30 is similar to the Heckler & Koch P2000 pistol; the differences are in exterior appearance and ergonomics. The basic design is derived from the Heckler & Koch P2000 and Heckler & Koch USP Compact pistols.

So it's not a USP, it just looks like one

It's a descendant of the P2000 and reflects the P2000 with, well almost everything but with even better ergonomics than the P2000 and the P2000 had better ergos than the USP
