wouldn't be surprised
also its no guilt trip
they are playing on your empathy to get money
"Canadians wouldn't turn their backs on poor children."
It's insulting
bet
Found the same ad from 1 year ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Nw-I4TVv5o
What bothers me here is that they used the same story about this girl a year ago, and for a different country.
Like there's only one little girl in need. :/
yeah its not like something can happen for different countries π³
>Because the majority of refugees are woman and children
False
The majority are young adult men
They used that same clip about that girl for the UNHCR advertisement for Canada
And they used it last year for the Australians
Reusing clips of something that probably happened a long time to advertise for refugees
Something is fishy bruh
Found the advert I took a screenshot of. It's a rerun from last year.
Weird
its almost like they want donations
weird..
It's almost like they're taking advantage of a migrant crisis using old footage that has nothing to do with todays migrants.
Like, is this girl still in need? Why didn't she get help last year?
What happened to last years donations? Did they do anything?
Are the donations even getting to those in need??
Apparently not because this girl is still traumatised
nah but ofc people are in need of healthcare
and yeah you know PTSD exist

At a moment like this it is desperately necessary to discover just why Socialism has failed in its appeal. And it is no use writing off the current distaste for Socialism as the product of stupidity or corrupt motives
What u guys think of β¬
Can't talk rn
the main reason why corporate CEO billionaires are pseudo-left wing is because they want to use a powerful govt. to write legislation that favors their companies, specifically incumbent corporations
the reason for this is that companies need a lasting competitive advantage in order to earn above avg. profits
the only competitive advantage that is lasting and most effective is barriers to entry; in other words, reducing competition, because competition lowers prices, and lowering prices cut into profits esp. when the cost structure cannot be changed and costs cannot be reduced
anyways, for example, one of the reasons brand medications are expensive is because there is limited competition in the pharmaceutical sector. There's almost no such thing as new companies being created from nothing and then rising to compete with larger companies on price. most pharmaceutical startups either get acquired or sell IP to larger companies
