technically no, read the fine print of impeachment ..so unless they change the impeachment rules..theres nothing to stop anybody in an impeachment trial from running for office again

so can they be on a jury like that and run for president at the same time?
They can't campaign while on a jury (as a senator)
so how many of the Dem candidates get knocked out if they go to a jury trial

That would take Fauxcahontas off the campaign. It would take Kamala Harris off the campaign. It would take Spartacus, Cory Booker, off the campaign. It would take mean little Amy Klobuchar off the campaign, and Crazy Bernie. He would have to rely on his surrogate, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
So they could still run but not campaign?
