i got 5 browser windows open with at least 2 dozen tabs each

and 3 media players

out of 5 or so

i got fiber....no issues

pc was built for gaming and streaming for 2015 standards

and i stopped streaming and gaming for the movement ...

so i got plenty of workspace to work with

64gigs of system ram

mobo holds 128gig

upgrade system first...before upgrading bw

because bw costs more than pc upgrades in the long run

i built this before i got fiber, before i was on dsl

when u go from a p4 to a i7....u notice the difference in online gaming of 4-20fps to 200fps

i've been custom building pc's for decades..only 1 'pc' i ever bought was a c-128

i got lucky when i picked the vid card..it had hardware x264 encoding

it's not so much about patience, it's about research into what u need and multiply that by 10yrs

treat every pc u build like u can't afford to buy a new one for 5-10yrs

so in otherwords....treat it like buying a car

look for best reliability in parts, who has best tech support, and free replacements

bros keep their spare toyota engines and trans in my basement...because my basement is bigger than theirs ...also i have a yard access point

i kept telling them for yrs to install a hydraulic hoist crane in the entryway

now that they have back problems...they wish they'd installed the hoist yrs ago

they're the macho type ...

til the body tells them they're not

bend at the knees so they'd blow out sooner

ma kept telling me growing up to bend at the knees...i have bad knees now

rubber soles are nice..but hard soles last longer

only good thing parents told me was this - if u can't afford it, get a job, if u still can't afford it, learn how to build it...if u can't afford the parts, learn how to salvage the parts

worked well so far

but it's harder to salvage the parts now...even the salvage yards are picky even when it comes to old pc parts

the city dump sometimes as some good pickings but they're very critical on trying to buy it off them

city charges u to dump....and to take it away...but only in bulk and under contract...kinda hard to bribe some workers there now for it

private scrapyards are easier to deal with

used to hit navy scrapyards for some tech gear
