it's a bit problematic b/c the tool isn't that actively developed anymore, and it has quite it's problems with dynamically generated websites / content

I looked into backing up wallstreetplayboys,
nmm and returnofkings
but returnofkings was too big, so you can't stop that tool completely, otherwise it will redownload everything, b/c the server always returns a new date on the files

and you have to itererate, just start with default settings,
then probably filter out all the reply button links, etc

it will probably generate several GBs

mainly due to lots of small html files for each thread

and that's the annoying part, you'll then have to 7zip it or so, otherwise it will be too much for the torrent program

the other thing maybe you ask them kindly if they want to participate in the mgtow archive , but I guess if they export their database, everyone could recreate the site,
and as a site owner, I'd be quite sceptic about that, especially if they want the traffic for themselves

just copying the post database would be ofc the easiest way, and the most storage efficient,
but one needs to recreate the infrastructure around that, so it will be viewable again

I also did download years ago the backup of roissy sphere, back when going through PUA content ...
and someone did backup it in a very weird way
lots of single pdf files,
and it's the one of the worst ways to backup a site imho, ok you've got the content,
but you almost cant search in it, and most of the hyperlinks between articles are broken

seems they used web.archive.org and their html to pdf api
maybe web.archive.org has also archived mgtow.com, and does share their version in some format
