compare the c14/c12 ratio to the atomsphere ratio it was in, to get how much half life cycle it went through

2019-02-12 16:29:52 UTC

@Victortze again it does not tell you the original state, you are aware the atmosphere can change right?

2019-02-12 16:30:35 UTC

yes which is why, thanks to the tree ring (aka other confirmed dating method) you can calculate how much in atomsphere it had at the time

2019-02-12 16:30:54 UTC

carbon dating is often recited because its the most well known one

2019-02-12 16:31:14 UTC

@Victortze if the atmosphere was drastically different in the past which there is evidence of making a linear projection into the past cannot be accurate

2019-02-12 16:31:47 UTC

but the fact is carbon dating can only work for about 50000 years, we use other isotope for further dating method.

2019-02-12 16:31:57 UTC

@Victortze the oldest tree ever dated by tree rings was just over 4000 years old

2019-02-12 16:31:59 UTC

like I said, they use the tree's info to calculate it

2019-02-12 16:32:28 UTC

Well than I would say it's only accurate to 4000 years

2019-02-12 16:32:32 UTC

that's why carbon dating is only used for near age, lol

2019-02-12 16:32:59 UTC

@Reaper doxxed? maybe

2019-02-12 16:33:11 UTC

Yea but if it's based on a tree that goes back 4000 years how are you assuming it is making a accurate model for 50000 years?

2019-02-12 16:33:12 UTC

check out Radiometric dating

2019-02-12 16:33:41 UTC

I never said how accurate it is, I said it only goes that far

2019-02-12 16:34:02 UTC

the further it is it general have a greater margin of error

2019-02-12 16:34:21 UTC

But like I said there is plenty of evidence that it gets it wrong, just doesn't get published in "peer edited" papers

2019-02-12 16:34:42 UTC

actually there is plenty of evidence of when they get it wrong in papers

2019-02-12 16:34:47 UTC

Peer reviewed*

2019-02-12 16:34:48 UTC

like I said, stop getting brain washed

2019-02-12 16:34:53 UTC

science is not social science

2019-02-12 16:35:11 UTC

people get it wrong all the time

2019-02-12 16:35:11 UTC

@Victortze most the science were taught is not science

2019-02-12 16:35:28 UTC

Awww c'mon dude....

2019-02-12 16:35:34 UTC

So earth is flat?

2019-02-12 16:35:36 UTC

@Victortzeits funny you are calling me brainwashed when all I have done is questioned what I've been taught

2019-02-12 16:35:48 UTC

ahh no, all you have done is make claims you cannot back up

2019-02-12 16:36:04 UTC

ive been taught that i cant fly. i should question that

2019-02-12 16:36:07 UTC

@Reaper No, i'm glad you're questioning things, but you shouldn't question things that are selfevident

2019-02-12 16:36:16 UTC

hang on imma go jump out this window

2019-02-12 16:36:21 UTC

nono, you got it wrong too

2019-02-12 16:36:24 UTC

its okay to question things

2019-02-12 16:36:26 UTC

vic shut up i can fly

2019-02-12 16:36:29 UTC

if you can actually have proof of it

2019-02-12 16:36:35 UTC

of course you can

2019-02-12 16:36:38 UTC

now go jump out of the window

2019-02-12 16:36:44 UTC

and fly away you glorious bastard

2019-02-12 16:37:01 UTC

Ok proofs

2019-02-12 16:37:05 UTC

**flashbacks to a house s6 e1 where a crazy man jumps of window to fly **

2019-02-12 16:37:14 UTC

the fact that you say they never publish they got it wrong juts shows how much you dont know

2019-02-12 16:37:18 UTC

they publish it all the time

2019-02-12 16:37:29 UTC
