The Extra creditz Sun yat sen series clarified many things
They were kinda doing what they could
with corruption and incompetence all around
and with abject rejection of reforms
imagine it
in another timeline China is a constitutional monarchy
like the UK
this is so wrong I don't even know where to start teasing you guys lol
the whole reason the nationlists came to power in the first place, was because after the opium war the Chinese population had lost faith in the qing dynasty
is Kari trying to smash Axel? wtf is happening in kh3 i skipped all the cutscenes lol
You know the rebellion that happened in the 1870s?

I ain't leaving my bitch alone in the woods with 6ft 4 gigachad axel that's for sure
Taiping Heavenly Kingdom is in 1850s~1860s
What's the black equivalent to a Gigachad?
Giganigga
Gigaleroy
China had a huge rebellion in the 1870s. That was because of lost faith in the qing dynasty and their first attempt to remove them from power, which failed @Z-Man (soon to be Y A)
😁
They tried again in the 1900s and that time it led to the nationlists
That's how the nationlists came to be
@Kaiser Dion Napoleon interesting.. and even then the Qing remained with their heads stuck in theirn own asses
@Kaiser Dion Napoleon that's in 1850s... and that legitmaly shift power to the Han chinese as the nobles can't fight anymore
I just corrected you earlier, lol
1850s, my bad
Qing's entire system broke down when they gave up the imperial test system
it didnt help that the Qing were manchus, seen as foreign invaders
as the upper class no long have a reason to support Qing's royal class
But thats the short version of what went down basically the qing lost the opium war and that made it inevitable for rebellion
the problem wasa Qing's noble class was getting too comfy and lost the ability to fight
or do anything
When the nationlists took power they were just as bad, lol
actually, no, Opium war was a sign of weakness on Qing's part, but actual rebellion from the Han upper class did not start till later 1890s
So the Chinese went through another damn civil war to get them out
And that's when you get the commies we know and love today
? no nationalists never took power
this is something most people don't under stand
there are some strong paralel between the late francha ristocrasy and the late chinese aristocracy
