However, unless things truly go to shit I do not believe it is worth sacrificing an enjoyable lifestyle for perceived freedom for a corrupt but currently tolerable government.

@Xychotic I agree, I think that would honestly be more valuable. Example: my background is in chemical engineering and physics. One of my cousins is an electrical engineer and spent a year surviving in the woods by himself/is an eagle scout. If we had a few educated people and had to construct something from the ground up i think we could.
