"because I say they are"
have fun with that
@frugalcasper I understand Bayer bought them.
They’re played on a square and you go to jail often
@Xychotic Yes I think so
@Deep Fried Jesus They absolutely are different. What you described was a unique, small, and morally applied monopoly, in theory.
Monopolies, in practice, are not benign and impair the market, not facilitate it. They very specifically are implemented to reduce competition by raising insurmountable barriers to entry but also driving whatever competitors do arrive to their death.
moralizing that monoplies aren't moral because of things done to maintain them doesn't do shit to smear the monopoly, its just guilt by association, an emotional charged, bullshit arguement im sure none of you would actually make, because that would be pathetic.
oh wait!
You think people would really chafe at the idea of one dude being the only source of a thing in demand and charging reasonable prices?
You can always try to develop a substitute.
Not if you have the full power behind the reviled monopoly.
now you're talking about levying things to maintain the monopoly again.
Monopolies only work so long. Ask the King of France
Ask the USSR
you people are literally arguing in cirlces, because you hate monoploies for trumped up reasons.
I do hate communism
sure you do.
it lost
1488!
@Nawalter Jizney Careful goyim
Lol
nobody likes the ussr, or "Communism", but you'll argue up and down, and in a very sneaky way how income inequality and monopolies are evil by association.
They are illegal for a reason. And that reason is rampant abuse.
@Nawalter Jizney I'm watching you with my good eye. The one I inspect diamonds with
@Deep Fried Jesus Who is saying income inequality is evil?
Paternaty tests are also illegal, and boy do they have lots of reasons.
The goy knight rises
I've never made a case against income inequality. Though there are risks associated with extreme inequality because the people on the wrong end, invariably more numerous than the ones on top, will eventually realize their best bet is to flip the table rather than keep playing.
And, as for the legality of paternity tests, I think that's reprehensible.
They should absolutely be legal. Indeed, they should be mandatory.

@frugalcasper Dude, I keep forgetting you're a mod. The purple throws me.
@Xychotic I was made red but asked to keep my Royal Purple
I kind of wish I was purple. But I don't really care for the role.
Also thanks to whoever changed my name thingy, just noticed
@Xychotic I'm just a fucking janitor lol
as the good ol chans would put it
That human nature, not the system. The system is moral but needs a bulwark to continue to exist, just as any other would. If you're saying people can be convinced to be self serving in pursuit of evil, saying its impossible in pursuit of a moral system is disingenuous. A good system is possible, it arguably existed, it just only lasts as long as people defend it with violence.
The difference is that people assume other will fight for a moral cause, while being self-serving. Systems like communism are more willing to put a gun to your head, because its just another human violation on top of the pile.
