My purpose is in my tag. Lol
@Xychotic yeah, if I can have the spare time to do what I want with my life. That means more to me than money ever could.
Time is money as they say
You can never have too much time.
I also want to master some martial arts and learn to shoot.
Learn at least 7 languages.
Start a cattle corporation with the stated goal of improving the environment and providing healthful, grass fed beef at a near commodity price.
I would be using Allen Savory's methodology.
7 languages? Which ones in particular?
Mandarin, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, German
Oh, that's 8.
9 including English.
I'm taking japanese currently.
It's a surprisingly easy language.
Kichigai da.
You basically talk like yoda but with run on sentences
Maybe, it is my name.
We still talking about long term goals?
Yes
^_^
=p Shut up, I know it.
Yeah, I'm just being a fuckhead.
I think 7 languages is too ambitious unless you plan to cut each one off at the 'Can barely hold a casual conversation' level. And then when you get to number 7 you realize you forgot most of the first 3.
I also want to become an electrical engineer.
@Kragt My grandfather had pretty much mastered 7 and was working on mandarin when his asshole killed him.
Yeah wives tend to do that.
(He died of colon cancer before I was born.)
Oh... that asshole.
Maybe, but I would question someone who has 'mastered' multiple languages. Chances are 3 of them are italian, french and spanish. If you know one you can learn the others in under a year.
But mandarin, japanese and russian you got to start from scratch each time.
And that takes years.
They were.
He conducted business in the three romance languages and Russian.
He, iirc, was a mechanical engineer and businessman
Especially to develop an ear for tones. >_> Im almost 2 years into mandarin and I am still struggling and will do so for a while. I am also not at the conversational level yet. I can mostly speak in fragments.
*I want to do better!*
He had a better upbringing than you. You are 7ish years behind him in just that you had to waste more time covering the same amount of schooling.
Don't be better than him, be better than yourself last year.
I am assuming you were educated in a public school BTW. The gap is less if you went to a private school.
Most men under the age of 50 have to undergo some period of educational deprogramming, I think.
