For future reference. Questions are better than statements when talking to someone who does not hold the same ideas as you.
Statements = I am right, you are wrong. (This puts people on the defensive and lowers their IQ in the short term. It doesn't find truth as easily because of this. So should never be used if that is your goal. If your goal is to 'win' regarless of truth then this gives you a flat advtange.)
Questions = Why are you right and I wrong? (Allows people to work at their full capcity by letting them explain their ideas and then you keep probing it for flaws. Better for finding truth.)
