Even though there has been recorded cases of christians doing terrible things in the name of God.
@kragtI think I get what you mean, but you worded it wrong.
It doesnt have to be flawed to still be bullshit.
Ok, so what is wrong with a blanket statement?
Because it assumes ALL christians are that way
The statement does not say all.
it never said all.
...
Are you serious?
If the statement was alll humans rape, christians are human therefore all christians rape.
That would be wrong.
@BigTyrone If by Jesus, you mean Phosphorus, then yeah, sure.
Because we know for a fact that all humans do not rape.
Humans rape, christians are human, therefore christians rape. <--- you said this
Yes
Blanket statement
for those that dream of the white tradcon reality... there's a large colony of confederates in brazil
And what is wrong with that?
Brush up your poartuguese
Humans - plural, implies all humans.
Christians - plural, implies all christians
That's that reductionist nonsense
... every plural means all?
Try adding, "some, but not all"
When the fuck was that a thing.
LOL
Its about interpretation
@Kragt I think you're wrong, bud. I get what you mean...but it's not true.
As do I.
Geese attacked me. I just said every goose in the world all attacked me at once by that logic.
Were gonna have to agree to disagree bro, I have anime tiddies to look at while shooting robots
Fair enough. Killing floor is gonna finish updating in 5 mins anyway.
@Rhunespire As you should be doing.
Like, I dont mind debating the finer points of specific logic but damn dude.
I am just working on basic logic. You had a right point and a wrong point.
I also, may have taken offense and seen it as a personal attack - when I know that wasnt your intent.
I guess the problem here is the definitions....
The more specific statement of 'some, but not all' is more accurate than nothing. Which makes the final statement more accurate.
But plural does not equal all.
Thats fair. I'm asking, be more specific when it comes to blanket statements.
But you failed to explain why a blanket statement was wrong. You only gave plural = all.
@Kragt The problem is that you said Christianity. And as we know, you have like 100 different paths.
Ideology wise.
