Bf1 was pretty good, but bf2 was amazing.

Bf1 did have a few better features though.

Like the fact that tank blasters actually could damage tanks.

The one reason I'll never forget BF1 is Riding in the side of a Galactic Gunship over Geonosis and watching all the fighting going on below before the pilot lands and drops me off in a hail of fire with the laser turrets going crazy

All the controls felt so solid and a lot of the levels had a certain amount of tactical destructability

Like a bf3 could have had the vehicles and levels of bf1 with the space battles galactic conquest and new units of bf2
