2019-01-30 04:29:04 UTC

why

2019-01-30 04:29:11 UTC

you'll learn how to mentally do it

2019-01-30 04:29:14 UTC

^

2019-01-30 04:29:44 UTC

so five

2019-01-30 04:29:45 UTC

😮

2019-01-30 04:29:51 UTC

i'll do it

2019-01-30 04:29:58 UTC

tell me, i haven't worked a real job, nearing 25

2019-01-30 04:30:03 UTC

what should i be concerned about

2019-01-30 04:30:07 UTC

Define "real job".

2019-01-30 04:30:16 UTC

a job where i pay taxes

2019-01-30 04:30:34 UTC
2019-01-30 04:30:56 UTC

@haku. You have any aversion to physical labor?

2019-01-30 04:31:32 UTC

i rather not do that yeah

2019-01-30 04:31:54 UTC

Might have to bite the bullet on it.

2019-01-30 04:31:55 UTC

@haku. Work dignifies men

2019-01-30 04:32:08 UTC

i always looked at it as a form of discipline

2019-01-30 04:32:10 UTC

when Im not working on a "real job" i get depressed

2019-01-30 04:32:12 UTC

depending on what you're doing

2019-01-30 04:32:13 UTC

for real

2019-01-30 04:32:14 UTC

Just as a point of practicality.

2019-01-30 04:32:50 UTC

the feeling of "work done" you get on your way home

2019-01-30 04:33:04 UTC

is really nice

2019-01-30 04:33:18 UTC

now i got to work from home, now and then I fap, watch videos, get distracted

2019-01-30 04:33:33 UTC

i dont get the feeling that i left my best on the workplace

2019-01-30 04:33:38 UTC

and now i can do whatever i want

2019-01-30 04:33:48 UTC

my conciousness gets heavy

2019-01-30 04:33:53 UTC

u should try, really

2019-01-30 04:37:04 UTC

@haku. Best other option is learn a coding language. Might take you a year to build a portfolio. Python with little-to-no experience will get you into most places at $30-35k (USD) a year.

2019-01-30 04:37:17 UTC

i do C++

2019-01-30 04:37:43 UTC

done some school shit

2019-01-30 04:37:53 UTC

wanna get away with an Associates

2019-01-30 04:37:57 UTC

Python's just C++ with more shortcuts.

2019-01-30 04:39:14 UTC

Wrap that up and find a place that'll pay you to do it. Sock away what you can and spend at least 2% of your take-home on Udemy learning another language. Java, Ruby, Swift, whatever.

2019-01-30 04:39:32 UTC

i do know basic java

2019-01-30 04:39:45 UTC

and basic assemble language

2019-01-30 04:39:58 UTC

Then work on improving what you know.

2019-01-30 04:40:47 UTC

Like I said, you don't suddenly lose the ability to learn new things no matter how old you get, really... but the difficulty to learn those new skills increases exponentially after 25.

2019-01-30 04:41:22 UTC

jeez

2019-01-30 04:42:29 UTC

It's a compounding thing. You didn't work on your portfolio because you didn't learn javascript because you didn't study enough because you didn't stick to the habit because you ingrained fucking around because you weren't building foundational behaviors. Etc. etc.

2019-01-30 04:42:55 UTC

so it doesn't matter much that i haven't had a job?
