I tried for five years, off and on. Could not even skate down the driveway

Skating stopped being epic when I was about ready to try it out

@Archer9 I get not wanting to only dedicate one’s life to hedonistic tendencies.. personally I say there’s nothing wrong with dabbling in things that are pleasurable. If you’re looking for spiritual enlightenment, I’d dabble with ancient/middle Eastern lore and spirituality first. Take a look at Zoroastrianism and really dive deep into some of the mysticism of the Abrahamic religions too (things that fundamentalists won’t preach about in their respective houses of worship lol)
