I agree with many of the cons with their idea and even have them noted in my word document on the subject.
The problem with your better strategy is that I don't think it works. Just telling a guy a fleshlight is better than the real thing, even if it is and even if it is with reasons (lower risks, focusing on his own enjoyment over hers) is just like telling a catholic there is no god and here is why etcetc...

Ways to counteract some of the flaws:
1. 3 day rule - never take a women for more than 3 days to prevent oneitis.
2. When you find a girl to purchase take her to get tested. Not foolproof as infections have an incubation period but this does severly limit the odds.
3. Similarly an expensive prosititute has a much lower infection rate by being harder to afford, but expensive there is still cheap here.
4. The three day rule also prevents excuses of pregnancy. The vast majority of girls are on the pill just due to sheer self interest. Pregnant hookers are of lower value and they know this. Condoms break and they know this too.

Also the gap between an expensive toy and a doll is huge moneywise.
Most expensive toys are 200$, cheap dolls are $1500 There is not a real good selection between them to justify keeping moving up.

Additional flaws not yet mentioned:
