I told him to chill and talked stuff over with him outside while my partner talked to the customer inside. He was semi hysterical talking about nazis and racists and I told him that some people just have preferences, and there is nothing racist about choosing vanilla over chocolate. Also told him that the campus has 24/7 therapy services for students and that he might want to go see them.

When people say nazi they don't actually think nazi, until they do. I'm unconvinced buying vanilla ice cream would make someone look like an actual nazi unless it was to someone who desparately wants to be a victim and will forgo reality.
