Well..... What could the male boomers have done?

2018-11-20 03:46:52 UTC

Feminism hit and they were fucked. Seems like they really lost control.

2018-11-20 03:47:28 UTC

🍗

2018-11-20 03:48:34 UTC

The thing is, Feminism wasn't always as omnipresent as it seems to be now. Back in those days it was a fringe group thing that gradually took hold and its grip tightened as each successive generation was born, grew up and either drank the kool-aid or didn't.

2018-11-20 03:49:26 UTC

When you send all your strong men off to war to die, which has been happening for a few generations now, and allow the weak ones to stay back and study bullshit degrees to avoid the draft, this is what you get

2018-11-20 03:50:13 UTC

Well the thing is, the US generally doesn't draft people - the draft in Vietnam wasnt nearly as wide reaching as people think

2018-11-20 03:50:14 UTC

@Rhunespire Agreed. Though I think the damage was done with the Boomers. It was irreversible at that point. Seems like they were just along for the ride. Plus, I doubt they had the foresight to imagine this future. The internet exploded the issue. No one knew the internet was coming.

2018-11-20 03:51:09 UTC

I remember when California was the place to be and everyone wanted to live there, then the communists infiltrated the democratic party and poisoned the entire area.

2018-11-20 03:51:14 UTC

Bs the government created the internet just sayn

2018-11-20 03:51:25 UTC

It's not like men could protest and be taken seriously.

2018-11-20 03:51:42 UTC

That's true. The internet was originally a military communications program known as ARPAnet

2018-11-20 03:51:56 UTC

No one as in the male Boomers.

2018-11-20 03:52:00 UTC

back n voice

2018-11-20 03:52:12 UTC

And no one knew it would be the internet it has become. A public utility.

2018-11-20 03:52:19 UTC

Again, Feminism wasn't really an issue until the 90's and beyond

2018-11-20 03:52:39 UTC

It took almost a century for it get to where its at.

2018-11-20 03:52:47 UTC

I disagree. Feminism was a problem in the 60s. Males were pretty much forced from the home.

2018-11-20 03:53:04 UTC

Feminism is what inspired the welfare state.

2018-11-20 03:53:11 UTC

Not just hypergamy.

2018-11-20 03:53:14 UTC

That is true.

2018-11-20 03:53:15 UTC

it was an issue the day women got the voet

2018-11-20 03:53:38 UTC

Social security the advent of massive social programs did come about around that time along with the Civil Rights Act of 63

2018-11-20 03:54:02 UTC

Yep

2018-11-20 03:54:23 UTC

However, I think the idea at the time was that these programs vice social security wouldnt be around forever.

2018-11-20 03:54:37 UTC

Boomer men really couldn't see it coming until it was too late. They could not have know what snowball was forming.

2018-11-20 03:54:56 UTC

Of course not, it was slinking around in the shadows. We had the Cold War to worry about

2018-11-20 03:55:50 UTC

And if it was already in play, there's no way they could change the course politically. Especially with women voting.

2018-11-20 03:56:18 UTC

A lot of people deride the McCarthyism of the time when he went after open communists in public life and private, but Communism has always been the enemy

2018-11-20 03:56:22 UTC

It's crazy but yeah, as soon as they got the voting rights, that was it.

2018-11-20 03:56:24 UTC

Looking back, I wish he did more.

2018-11-20 03:57:04 UTC

We may have staved off modern feminism and communism by another generation, maybe two - tops

2018-11-20 03:58:05 UTC

I don't see a world where women aren't allowed to vote. It would have happened eventually. They should have had the foresight to just make it not about men and women and make voting rights about economics, or some other form of eligibility.

2018-11-20 03:58:36 UTC

Economically, women would have still not been largely eligible and they could have satisfied all parties (put out the fires) politically.

2018-11-20 04:25:44 UTC

Wow, the club scene is really dead. The three biggest clubs in the city are permanently closed. I had no idea. Crazy.

2018-11-20 04:26:47 UTC

Especially the number one club. Actually closed, that's crazy. It was the spot for yeeaarrs.

2018-11-20 04:26:57 UTC

It's because of online dating.

2018-11-20 04:27:16 UTC

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement

2018-11-20 04:28:07 UTC

I think metoo has its own part to play in that

2018-11-20 04:28:20 UTC

Maybe a sort of death blow

2018-11-20 04:28:28 UTC

Well the number one club (here at least) closed in 2014. I'm mad late.

2018-11-20 04:28:38 UTC

I'm old, so...
