but its very binding to the state and the dependancy on a hospital to call yourself a doctor is not worth it for me

That is one thing I truly love about the title/role of engineer - I am totally stateless and able to work in whatever capacity I want.

Yes! That is why I love the idea of being a doctor. I can save lives and affect lives MORE VISIBLY than engineering.

I do think engineering can save lives too.

The feedback loop isn't as obvious.

But you also have to be able to deal with accidents and sudden deaths

what annoys me is that people say all these nice things for medicine and how dignified it is since the plague

but today this just isnt the case

with money controling it

I am obsessed with health for that reason.

true... obesity now surpasses heart disease as a cause of death n that is mostly a behavioual prob

psycology is considered a soft science for a reason

it's also considered a pseudoscience

people in ancient greece knew nothing of what we know now and they lived wiser with regards of possible injuries and diet and they lived
we are just spoiled because we know there is someone who works fixing people and we do very stupid chilish and risky things

but most of RP theory is based on evopsych

@hel I do love psychology but I am too much of an egotist to consider a real career.

I only consider engineering/medicine real careers.

psychologists are not low status

to be honest

even street cleaners are necessary

there r ways to study/use psychology properly but most don't and it has become prettu much pseudo in most uses and views n the general sense

imagine if everyone stopped cleaning
