some companies only hire through recruitment agencies

2018-12-05 21:27:33 UTC

So are u scared of competition

2018-12-05 21:27:52 UTC

i'm scared that my CV won't be read in a pile of 500

2018-12-05 21:28:06 UTC

they'll read my CV in a pile of 20

2018-12-05 21:28:25 UTC

@The woken child I wanted to serve too but then I started learning about ancap.

2018-12-05 21:29:02 UTC

What is ancap?

2018-12-05 21:29:30 UTC

To each their own but a position that is acquired though a agency only is more than likely a position u will not want to stay at

2018-12-05 21:30:10 UTC

true @thadeal4real - they also take a decent cut out of ur pay

2018-12-05 21:30:15 UTC

Yeah temo agency suck.... Only go through them if you arr desperate.

2018-12-05 21:30:44 UTC

the vast majority of recruitment agencies deal w/high turnover positions n the better the position the more u will owe...

2018-12-05 21:31:10 UTC

If have to keep looking for another job.... Because they will never keep you.

2018-12-05 21:31:48 UTC

i'm currently working as a waiter/kithcen porter and got a phone call from a company i applied to through indeed about a "Junior Implementation & Support" asking me more about myself and then i've got an interview booked on Friday - this role is amazing and i guess i'm just nervous seeing as, because i didnt go through an agency, that there'll be a lot of competition

2018-12-05 21:31:56 UTC

I used to always keep two jobs. That's the only **real** job security there is. Then I realized it's just better to work for yourself.

2018-12-05 21:32:13 UTC

my dream future career is in software dev so this job sounds amazing

2018-12-05 21:32:53 UTC

How do you work for your self?

2018-12-05 21:33:15 UTC

@MufflePuff unless ur self employed a biz owner or investor

2018-12-05 21:33:18 UTC

Start a business. Build a hustle. Whatever you can do that you will like to do **that makes money**.

2018-12-05 21:33:19 UTC

this role sounds amazing

2018-12-05 21:33:59 UTC

@JDB just remember THEY called YOU

2018-12-05 21:34:57 UTC

true @thadeal4real - i'm super excited for the interview seeing as i don't need to prepare as i can just be myself and show them how interested i am

2018-12-05 21:35:09 UTC

I might need me a mentor.

2018-12-05 21:35:30 UTC

i havent told my family incase i get rejected - any tips on doing well at an interview? idk whether to bring my laptop to show them my portfolio

2018-12-05 21:36:17 UTC

@The woken child don't be afraid to pay for one. Free education is free for a reason. It will likely take you 10x as long if you try to do it on your own.

2018-12-05 21:36:23 UTC

Don't cheap out. **Also note, most people won't last 10x as long**.

2018-12-05 21:36:48 UTC

I'm kind of homless

2018-12-05 21:37:15 UTC

@JDB jus put ur best foot forward n b urself... if they don't like u they won't keep u

2018-12-05 21:37:29 UTC

You said it be calm cool collected and yourself get them to see a side of yourself don’t be a spaz just cause your excited and don’t be afraid to ask them ?s or even requests

2018-12-05 21:37:32 UTC

@The woken child honestly that means nothing.

2018-12-05 21:37:32 UTC

@ziyauren great advice thanks man

2018-12-05 21:37:42 UTC

The struggle is real with me.

2018-12-05 21:37:43 UTC
2018-12-05 21:37:49 UTC

@The woken child you can pay with your time and energy. You can apprentice for free.

2018-12-05 21:37:49 UTC

Where can i start?

2018-12-05 21:38:12 UTC

That depends on what it is that you choose to do. You have to figure that out.

2018-12-05 21:38:27 UTC

You're online so you should start with Google.

2018-12-05 21:38:34 UTC

I'm rnning out of ideas.

2018-12-05 21:38:40 UTC

Running*

2018-12-05 21:39:07 UTC

Chances are you're running out of patience first. There are millions of options. Maybe be more creative.

2018-12-05 21:39:27 UTC

Could you help me with it?

2018-12-05 21:39:53 UTC

i'm going to take the next 2 days off work at my current place so i can prepare and then go in on the Friday - what kind of things do you recommend i prepare for? i was going to go through the job advert and make sure i understand the role thoroughly

2018-12-05 21:39:57 UTC

Like what would be a goid start for me?
