Same with kids, especially raising someone else's. And there's plenty of glorification of being a step parent out there.

What I don't get is, why even bother gaming the system though. All this effort for what really? Most guys, historically speaking, married for steady sex. Nowadays though, you don't need to marry to get sex. Marriage for men is all downsides, no benefit at all. Worse, besides financial rape, all statistics show there's less sex when married if anything. It's pointless lol.

The statistics may show you get less sex in a long term relationship but anecdotally that's wrong.

It was way easier for me to get laid being in a relationship than out. Maybe i ain't got game, maybe i'm just not putting myself out there in the right places, etc but i'm in a serious dry spell and it was never this bad being involved with someone.
