@Reaper I have. It fucking sucks
Could those great leaders just rub one out and not be greedy assholes?
I'm just kidding, I'd just let her break up with you next time. just in case. Let her think she's in charge
@Punished Korgoth I agree it doesn't make it easier when it's someone you care about
yeah
If someone stayed married that long starting from now. I give them permission to piss on my grave
I agree it's always better when she ends it
@AllThingsExpendable Modernity is a good thing, not a bad thing. We've evolved and built up such amazing technology and systems of operation. The issue is we live in abundance and there are no true enemies anymore. Until aliens invade, we will be the top dog.
@Kaiser Dion Napoleon why lol?
shouldnt you be pissing on their grave
seeing as they were stupid
@Kaiser Dion Napoleon Multiple people in our community live like this. I was taught sunday school by them lol.
@agogeghost they are probably all older people who grew up without tinder
^
@agogeghost I don't think we've evolved beyond our 10,000 year old self. And I'm not saying what modernity offers is entirely bad, but it brings a host of new problems that we're not biologically equipped to handle, and this will be even more true as the years ago by.
When there is a family like this... it truly is a blessing and I love it. I truly do. It's beautiful. However, even in these families I see women shit testing their husbands/sons and even me. I see hypergamy, even in a christian community.
@Kaiser Dion Napoleon Indeed!
@AllThingsExpendable Agreed!
@agogeghost that's where I disagree I think that there is a reason that stories like Icarus exist, man has created technologies before, but always uses them to destroy himself and the progress, then comes a dark age rinse and repeat
@AllThingsExpendable eg. tinder, social media, etc
@Reaper Yeah, that makes sense.
If you maintain strong technology but allow individuals to be the authority figures in their own lives, I don't think it would collapse.
Utopia is such a bittersweet concept......trying to achieve one is always going to be the very reason a society fails
@agogeghost please look at ww2 and see the level of technology we had At that time explicitly to kill each other, then look at farm equipment at the same time? Is technological progress really necessarily good??
I believe that trying to control others or " fix " society is the one true evil. You live your life your way and contribute to collective efforts where you decide it benefits you to do so. Any type of forced collectivism or controling of other's free will is where corruption starts and bad things tend to follow.
But the funny part is. If you weren't trying to achieve a utopia and just did what created the greatest results with the least drawbacks. Eventually you could create something almost like a utopia
Would take a long time though
The people starting it would have to have a insane amount of delayed gratification which goes against human nature
I agree with just focusing on making the world around you a little bit better every day. I think anyone is fooling themselves if they think that they can achieve a utopia.

whitepilled asf
Utopia cannot even be conceptualized without wholesale ignoring human nature
@Lilu I do this with my little neighborhood, it works out wonderfully when people actually try understanding one another.
@Reaper Sh.. take my hand... let's skip to Utopia. Close your eyes... just imagine...
Hell yeah.....we really need some kind of gene editing technology to start thinking of it
robocommunism
@Reaper No, I agree. I still argue all technology and progress is good. You can interpret that as evil.
@agogeghost make me a believer!!, lol
We live in the realm of the relative. Everything only exists in contrast to it's exact opposite. I live in near Chicago and when I travel to places like California or Florida and see people wearing jackets and gloves when it's in the mid 60's and then watch people in Russian swiming in holes in the ice you begin to understand.
Our concept of good and bad, pain and pleasure, etc... is all in compairison to an average of what we experience.
