Personally, I absolutely love project management.
It's almost always about the journey, not the destination
I know my engineering project leads generally detest it.
Once you have a purpose, your mind clears up and there's no more existential thoughts to cloud your brain
So, not only do I get to do the thing I love, it helps people for whom I have some modicum of respect.
